verified ram for ryzen board

at least 8gb of ram for an x470 board ( i'll be pre-ordering on Amazon) i'm assuming if works on b350 it would work on it, what you recommend?

Think you have misunderstood Keith12.
He is absolutely correct about Ryzen and Ram compatibility. Do check RAM you intend to buy on QVL list from motherboard manufacturer. If you can afford it, 2x 8 modules would be best for a new x470

Decide which mobo you want, then you can select ram for the QVL so it will work with your mobo.
