I've been building my business and I buy a lot of computers for refurbishing. When I buy them the license is stated by the vendor, however I've reached a problem where it would seem the vendor swapped in a few Home licenses into my Pro purchase. In addition, due to the volatility of information I purchase these machines with wiped hdds.
I'm wondering if there's a way I can verify the embedded license without imaging the machine, possibly through a Ubuntu live boot(?) or some other means that don't require running serial numbers through OEM's or imaging machines. Yes I realize I can just have a tester hdd with W10P but that doesn't always work across various manufacturers.
