Guys, I am building a PC for my brother. He will do his homework and play minecraft.

- Ryzen 2200g CPU due to it's price and integrated graphics.
- Chose b450 motherboard because its the latest one and has support for 2nd gen ryzen without bios flash
- Already have 2 SSD's at home
- 1 x 8gb DDR4 incase I buy another identical one in the future (most likely)

What do you think? any potential errors?

For adding more RAM you have four slots in total. Not much faster in general, but for Ryzen it has some significance.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5GHz...
Dual channel RAM is faster and has redundancy in case one stick fails.
Seasonic Eco series is the lowest quality from that company.
Modified with better parts...

I really want a micro ATX case because it's smaller, the one you recommend is ATX.
Okay so RAM, I wanted to bump up in the future. Howmuch quicker is dual-channel?
in terms of PSU - I thought seasonic produce the best stuff? I couldn't find a single bad review for it compared to the Corsair one
Any reason why the MSI mobo instead of the one I picked?

Looks like this has HDMI 2.0b support

The cx450 is way better than that 6 year
Old seasonic.

Take 2 sticks of fast ram , the integrated graphics run 40% faster with dual channel.

I'd take the a stock board, it has heatsinked vrm & soc modules.

Way better than either of those other 2 boards.

Great stuff!!
I'm about to order this list:
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/tan--ahmed/saved/zFrNNG

So this asrock motherboard is better than the ASUS and MSI because of the "heatsinked vrm & soc modules" ? - I have no idea what this is but I'll take your word for it

I have no problem with the PSU and ram suggestions, fantastic. Can't wait to build this.

Do I need a anti static wrist strap?
anything else I will need to build this PC?

I dont use wrist straps personally, build on a solid table or kitchen worktop, discharge static by touching a radiator or something else thats grounded for 5 seconds .

You need a medium sized philips (cross head screwdriver) & a little bit of common sense & patience - thats pretty much it.

& yes the asrock is better ,that msi is fine but the soc vrm isnt heatsinked & using one of the ryzen apu's does inflate the temps on that area more than a standard ryzen chip with no integrated graphics.

vrm_pro_4.png

Where ive outlined, the left box is the heatsinked 6 phase cpu delivery vrm set,the top is the heatsinked 3 phase soc delivery vrm set.

The asus you listed was a 4+2 with no heatsinks, the msi is a 4+2 with only the 4 phase vrm heatsinked.

On a power delivery front/vrm temp front the asrock is way way better than either, there are already plenty of vids on youtube showing massive vrm temps on the cheaper b450 boards when using the new series ryzen chips.
