Verizon Data Plan issue

Good morning all!

I was one of the people who lost unlimited data when I got a new phone on contract (bad move). However I was bumped down to 2gb/mo. This was about a year ago. I was talking to my brother who is on the same account and he gets 6gb now after dropping from unlimited. I talked to other people like me and they all have 6gb/mo after unlimited.

I called Verizon and apparently I was supposed to be told that I could upgrade to 6gb within 2 months of getting off unlimited. I was not told this and I did not think to ask because i didn't know that 6gb was a thing.

Now they are not giving me 6gb and I am stuck on 2gb. I was told that they best they could do would be give me an account credit.

Is there anything i can do to get myself 6gb for the same price everyone else who had unlimited is getting or am i SOL?
 
How far along are you into your new contract and what is the duration of the contract?

The best I can suggest is to transfer to their retentions department and try your luck there. Retentions Department will give you a good plan.
