I have 2 OS on my computer; Win98 SE for games, and Win2k for graphics, and a bunch of other things. Why is it that I get better internet performance (higher d-load speeds from same server) in Win2K than unde Win 98 SE?

When I rule the world, Apple will only mean the fruit.

ive found that win2k is by far better utilising my net connection,
almost always maxing out my bandwidth... 98 on the other hand seemed half hearted.
but then again, ive only got a 56k modem, so "maxing out my bandwidth = 5k/sec 🙁

I have been amazed by the superiority of Win2K over Win98SE. Hasn't crashed on me yet, apps are faster, 3D Studio Max R3 is stable as a rock, internet is faster, no problems what so ever. I think Microsoft really scored on this one.
