Hey everybody, I recently changed my Verizon plan so that I have unlimited 4G data on my phone. This is great everywhere but my house ,unfortunately which is just outside of the coverage area for 4G. I have an antenna connected to my home Verizon router that lets me get 4G but it doesn't work on the phone. I researched it a little bit about signal boosters for Verizon cell phones that you can install in your house but it's all just a little bit confusing to me. Can anyone recommend a good signal booster that works for Verizon phones? Any help is much appreciated, thanks

Signal boosters are very much in the grey area when it comes to cell phones so make sure you buy from a reputable dealer. Be prepared to spend at least $200. The very cheap crap being imported directly out of china likely is not fcc certified so you do not really know if the output level they claim are valid. I would try to stay with manufactures listed in the USA...even though the equipment is likely really made in china like ever thing.

It depends what you mean by "4g" verizon runs in the 700mhz band for their LTE. You would want a amplifier that works in that range. Most generally cover mulitple carriers that use that range BUT if you need other forms of 4g those may operate on different frequencies.

The part that makes these devices in the grey area is legally you must register them with the provider. Verizon used to have a online thing that let you tie the device to your account. I do not know if there are restrictions but this is where buying crap from china without FCC numbers makes it impossible to register it.

Now of course you could just run illegally and not register it at all. It not likely you are going to get caught.
