So it's coming out with ICS instead of JB and 4.2 gets released in November. I'll be getting a new phone in December, but I'm not overly impressed enough with this one.

WTF? ICS? Really? I've had JB on my Nexus 7 since JULY! And I'm still waiting for the JB upgrade for my VZW SGS3. I kept hearing October for that one. Guess what? October is nearly over and still no upgrade! I expect this phone will be more of the same. Never buying another non-Nexus Android device.

My buddy JUST upgraded to ICS on his Bionic (Thanks Tom's Hardware community for spreading the word!)

It took a year plus delays to get last years OS on a Verizon phone. No way any Verizon customers get JB on existing phones not names GS3...

Actually this is the only report I have read that shows the device coming with 4.0 instead of 4.1. From ever report I have seen this phone will be shipping with Jellybean pre-installed. As well as Nov 20 is more than likely will be the pre-order date.

I myself own a Bionic, and while the delay to get ICS was frustrating, it was due to the buggy release of the Razr/Razr Maxx ICS. Since the Razr's are essentially identical to the Bionic except for the screen it was logical that ICS would be buggy on it as well, so it was delayed.

But before you say only the Galaxy 3 will get JB, you should read what Motorola released as far as their plans for JB. They have said many of their phones will get JB, including the Bionic. In fact, if it can run JB hardware wise, it will get it, or they will give the customer $100.
