Is the gtx 780 jetstream any good compared to it others "makes"?

It's better than a reference for sure, but the HOF and Lightning are both faster out of box and can OC more. The Jetstream also takes up 3 slots so it probably unlikely that you'll be able to SLI it if you ever intend to.

The only reason I would recommend it is if it's a lot cheaper than the Lightning or HOF

Out of the box the Palit GeForce GTX 780 Jetstream has the same core and memory clocks as the MSI N780 TF 3GD5/OC (GeForce GTX 780 GAMING) in Gaming Mode.
