Vertex 3 unrecognized after failed firmware update HELP!

hey guys, so long story short doing some up keep and update on all of my stuff i came around to updating the firmware on my OCZ Vertex 3 followed their guide exactly, put bootable image onto USB stick, put SATA in mode to ACHI, booted from the stick, all is fine up to this point! i begin the update and it does its thing i walk out to grab a drink while i was waiting i come back to a message saying "update rejected by device" i went to reboot and try again..........my vertex 3 is no longer recognized by ANYTHING its nowhere to be found in my bios and even when i boot back up using OCZ toolbox its telling me no supported drives found!! so at this point i figured id come ask you guys before i throw the thing out the window!!! any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Disconnect the data & power cable from the drive for about an hour. Reconnect them and see if your BIOS recognizes the drive.

If the drive is still not recognized then go to OCZ's Support Forum and see if the staff there can help you fix your problem.

Thank You ill give that a try now and post back any results, i did try switching sata ports while i was waiting for a rely to see if that would do anything, no go on that though :/

so i disconnected SATA and power cables and its been sitting for roughly 8 hrs. just plugged them back in not only does the bios not see it plugged in but neither does the OCZ tool box when i booted again through USB. i checked with the OCZ forum before i even bothered registering to be able to post and saw two with almost the exact same situation and all replies said to RMA so does this mean there is nothing else i can do? is it toasted?
