Vertical crease/hidden pixels at 144Hz refresh rate

My new PC has an odd issue, when I set the refresh rate to match the 144Hz maximum of my monitor there is a discontinuity running vertically down the middle of the screen like just a few pixels have been sliced out from top to bottom and the edges joined. When I drop from 144Hz to 120Hz there's no problem.
Has anyone seen this issue before and have a fix for those last few Hz?

Change the resolution to something else and then change back
