Vertical Hard drive

Hey, I know that placing a HDD at an angle is bad, but is it safe to place a HDD facing straight up instead of horizontal?

Mine work fine no matter what their orientation. Don't worry, you won't do the drives any harm.

Changing their orientation while they are spinning is a bad thing.

Its very common. You can put it where ever you want facing however you like. As long as it can't move around while its running
