Im getting an issue with my pc. Do note that all of my drivers are up to date(15.4). I can get into a game, and play it for a while, but then after 30 min to an hour, the screen will freeze up showing vertical lines very similar what to was currently rendering. I can get out of the vertical lines, but the desktop and the lock screen will be super freaky glitchy. I hear that this was an issue with the hd 5xxx series cards called the VSOD if anyone has any knowlege on this please inform me. Ive already taken it to a shop and they said it was malware, but that certainly was not the problem. This is only my first build so I don't really have any spare parts lying around that I could test with does anybody know what could be causing the problem or can anybody help me troubleshoot this issue I would really appreciate it thank you. I will give best answer to the person who helps me troubleshoot the best.

I have an XFX TS 550W 80+ Bronze PSU. Its on teir #2 of PSU list and some people on the forum here suggested it while i was doing my build. It also is definetly not overheating. witcher 3 temps in rivatuner say 57 degrees celcius. The card i have came OC'd out of the box but ive used afterburner to lower both clocks down to r9 270x defualts.

Ok. I've reinstalled beta 15.5 drivers. What was weird is that i didnt get a yellow check mark last time with an error message. This time I got a green check mark so i guess that everything installed correctly. I set the power limit in Afterburner to +20(and ive set the clock speeds back to their default OC'd settings). Im off the play witcher 3 and see if i still run into any problems. Will post back results soon.

Still got the vertical lines on heaven benchmark using +20 power limit, and base OC which is:

Core: 1100mhz
Memory: 1450mhz

Will try lowering clocks to base 270x speeds. Is that 50mhz less for each clocks?
