Vertical lines on monitor (green and purple)

Hello, before you say this is a monitor problem it's not because I've already tried to hook it up to another monitor and the problem still occurs. Anyways , I have 2 green and purple (mixed) quite thick vertical lines down my monitor. I have tried reseating the GPU, problem still occurs. I noticed that one of the wires from the power supply to the motherboard are a bit bent in, could this be the problem? Or is it definitely a gpu problem ? These lines show up in BIOS also and I can't login via normal startup I must use safemode, however lines still appear but in normal startup it just goes to a blue screen with about 15-20 straight vertical lines spread across the screen until I restart my PC.

I read that thread but it just talks about how he bought a new card and what not. That's kind of last resort for me. Any other solutions?

No, he had the card repaired, the issue was bad solders on the pcb, read the next to the last post in the thread.

Are you sure its the GPU? Could it be motherboard, ram or anything else? I'm not going to purchase something when I don't even know if its going to solve the problem.

Why not call XFX and tell them what is happening? It sounds like your card is dying and they might be able to replace it for you if it's still under warranty. You also might get lucky with a newer card as the replacement since they don't make that model anymore.
