Question Vertical lines on monitor screen ?

I closed out of a game I was playing and right after these lines appeared on my monitor screen. I restarted my pc and fully shutdown and still the same. I also tried using a different displayport cable. The game I was playing I play in a custom res of 1440x1080 and have used it for months now with no problems. This time when my screen went black to revert back to 1920x1080 the lines appeared.
