Vertical Lines on old GE Fanuc LCD Display

Good afternoon,

A machine at work has been having worsening display problems. It's a GE Fanuc 180i with a non-touch screen LCD display. Occasionally it would slowly degrade until all you could see was a series of vertical lines, and someone would just bang on it to get the proper picture back, but it has gotten to the point where it degrades to unusable within a minute. I've tried to find resources on these things online, and as far as I can tell there's no simple VGA port to just plug another monitor in if this one gets any worse. If anyone has any suggestions, it'd be much appreciated.

ugh servicing CNC machines. Last time I had to service one of ours I got really lucky and found some Vietnamese outfit selling external control modules that would work on ours. It's almost as if they don't want these things to be user serviceable. 😛
