Vertical mounted GPU

Hi there.

I got my good and steady Asus P9X79 LE 2011 socket motherboard. Running the 3820 pc at 4.6 GHz.

My problem is, that my top pci-e port are done. It Doesn’t work enymore.

I currently use slot 2 but I feel that the GPU are to close to the bottom of the case. Temps are around 80-85 Celsius while playing PUBG.

I wondered if mounting the gpu vertically would be a good idea? Or keep it like it is.

My case are an phanteks P400s.

May use the MSI afterburner to control the GPU fan speed.

Because your case has the psu COVER, and nothing you can do, that why I said try the afterburner to control the fan speed to cool the GPU.
