Well i'm using those old 60hz monitor so i was wondering should i cap my fps to 60 fps (vertical sync on) or not? If i play game at 100 and even 200+ fps will it "kill" my monitor? Like .... make it lifespan going down? lol

Solution
Capping fps and vsync is not the same thing. You can cap fps and have vsync off. This is more ideal as it doesn't introduce more input lag and micro stuttering under 60fps but it doesn't always work to remove tearing. The monitor couldn't care less what fps you put into it and it'll still just keep refreshing 60 times a second no matter what. You just might get tearing if it changes frame mid refresh.

No, your monitor continues to refresh 60 times per second, it's just that with VSync off the frame will get updated part way through the screen draw process. That can result in "tearing" - Google that if you're not sure what that means/looks like.
However, some people like a frame to start appearing as soon as it's ready, which VSync will not do. So it's really a trade off between response time (higher with vsync ON) and tearing (only a problem with vsync OFF).

Neither does any physical damage to any of your components. Though VSync on with an overpowered system will result in the GPU waiting regularly, resulting in less power and heat.
