Hi there looking for some advice. I currently have a 3090 and will be looking in the future to upgrade to a 4090 - the question is i have the Lian Li 011d Razer Edition case. As i'm aware the 4090 is pretty large. is there a vertical gpu mount for this specific case and would a 4090 fit the case in that setup or would it be worthwhile upgrading to a bigger case?

Solution
Lian Li 011d Razer Edition
It has the same specs as the other O11 Dynamics.

is there a vertical gpu mount for this specific case
Yes.

would a 4090 fit the case in that setup
The paper and online manuals show gpu compatibility limits. These cards are available in different sizes... so take the limits and subtract them from the dimensions of the card you're considering.

I'd check to see if other people have extended a 4090 using similar risers.

I'm wary of adding extra bus capacitance and impedance to fast operating circuits.

Several of my older Lian Li cases come with long metal brackets that clamp down on top of PCI cards to support heavy GPUs.

You might be able to construct a metal support bracket for the front of the 4090 and tie it in to the front panel on the computer case, if you're worried about the unsupported end of the GPU card drooping.

Myself, I'd build the system the "normal" way and see how much the card sags before fitting a riser.
