Very bad performance custom pc

Hi there!

I recently built a new gaming pc with the following specs:

- CPU: i7 7700K
- CPU cooler: Corsair H100i v2 (water cooled)
- Mobo: Asus MAXIMUS VIII IMPACT
- RAM: G.SKILL F4 DDR4 2400 C15 2x8GB
- GPU: Asus Strix GTX 1050-Ti
- SSD: Crucial MX300 275GB
- PSU: Corsair RM 550x
- OS: Windows 10 Pro (high performance is on)

Unfortunately the pc is performing very very badly. In Overwatch on low settings @ 1080p I only get about 30 FPS.

CPU-Z bench gives me following CPU results while tmp is at 34°C:
- Multi Thread: 446.5
- Single Thread: 80.0

My GPU has a default clock of 1291 MH and a memory of 1752 MH.

I also executed userbenchmark with the these results.

What could it be?

Average cpu speed under boos is 0.8Ghz. That’s a problem. As you say temperatures are ok then I’d start by updating the BIOS and resetting it.

I checked for BIOS updates and it's up to date...
I just reset it and cleared the CMOS.

Still no improvements...

I’m on my phone which makes it difficult but looking up your motherboard it has a ‘Slow Mode’. I’d check the manual and make sure this isn’t enabled.

This was it! I really had slow mode enabled, what a dumb mistake...
