So I've been doing some testing with various GPUs lately and what I have been using in my main workstation was an MSI GTX 960 which can play 4K youtube videos no problem with about 8% CPU usage. This was until I swapped it out for an Asus Strix Radeon R7 370 and it seems as if GPU acceleration does not work anymore in Firefox due to 95% CPU usage just doing 1080p youtube videos. Specs include:
Intel Xeon X3230 @ 2.66 GHz
8 GB of Crucial ECC DDR2
an Intel Motherboard
An MSI GTX 960 (works great for video), an Asus Strix R7 370 (uses only the CPU for video)
Lastly a Samsung 840 EVO SSD.
*One thing to note is I'm using the regular nvidia drivers but using the beta amd drivers. (Maybe that's the problem?)
Thanks for your time
