Very high memory usage

The pas few days task manager is showing at idle 4gb of ram are in use and the amount of free ram is little above 0. Im not to sure why this is however when I enabled RAPID and os optimization mode on my samsung 840 evo 250gb ssd it may have caused this. Even under resource monitor the numbers dont add up it should be on 2gb but instead its on 4gb. I have 8gb of ram and i think ill just reinstall windows.

UPDATE:

Yes I have now disabled it. Having a read online about it, it turns out that RAPID mode uses 1gb of ram (however mine was using more) to cache data into my ram to improve speeds. From what I have read the RAPID mode in some cases made pcs faster but is unoticable.
