Question Very high pc temps

So I've had my pc since January this year and I'm not sure how long this has been going on for but I've found out my cpu temps have gone up to 98 degrees Celsius and I'm wondering if this is normal for water cooled pcs (which most likely isn't) but I'm wondering what is causing it to be so hot and what I can do to fix this.

My specs:

CPU: Intel® Core™ i9-11900K 8c/16t

CPU Cooler: MSI MAG CORELIQUID 240R V2 240mm AiO Liquid CPU Cooler

RAM: Geil Pristine Series 4 x 8GB DDR4 2400MHz - XMP1 - 3000MHz

GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ti VENTUS 3X 8G OC Gaming Graphics Card - 8GB GDDR6X, 1800 MHz, PCI Express Gen 4, 256-bit, 3x DP v 1.4a, HDMI 2.1 (Supports 4K)

MB: MSI MPG Z590 GAMING PLUS

SSD: Seagate FireCuda 510 1TB NVMe

SSD2: Force Series™ MP400 4TB M.2 SSD

98°C is high even for air-cooled PCs. Thermal shutdown happens around 125°C or so, so you're not killing the CPU (yet). To find out the cause of the high temps, you'll want to ensure you have proper contact with the cooler/water block. In my experience (over this forum and my own builds), the single most typical reason is poor thermal paste application (too much is just as bad as too little).
