Very high ping problem

Hello guys so i have a problem with very high ping spikes,and i want to ask could this be from the Wireless adaptor i am currently using (TP-Link TL-WN722N).I am with windows 10,and in the summary says it doesnt suport Win10,so i dont have drivers,but the adaptor itself works.So my queston -is the adaptor causing this high ping.

Yes, ping speed a function of your network adapter and where you are connecting to on the Internet.

I see the one you are using is on the 2.4GHz wifi band... If the router/access point you are connecting to supports the 5GHz band you will get much better speed by switching to a new wifi adapter that supports that band (5Ghz).

Well my internet is only 80mbps so i dont think there is much sense of a 5ghz band.My ususal ping is 40-50 and all of a sudden it spikes to 1100,then drops to 300-500

5GHz band does not mean that your transferring data at 5,000mbs. It's just the frequency that your wifi works on. The 2.4Ghz band is severely congested by other devices (cordless phones, home security systems, baby monitors, neighbors wifi, neighbors cordless phone, etc..) which can all cause interference on that band with your wifi data.

For me at home I typically get 20-30mbs on the 2.4GHz band and 120mbs on the 5Ghz band with a 150mbs Internet connection.

Try speedtest .net to confirm your actual speed through your wifi adapter.

Oh i didnt know that thank you ,my router supports 5ghz ,so if i connect my pc to the router with LAN cable it will be on 5ghz ?

No, 5GHz is just for wifi. If you connect via Ethernet cable you'll have the fastest connection to the Internet with no interference form wifi devices.
