I downloaded crystal info to check my hard disk status and the Health Status is shown as Bad (although the temperature appears to be fine). In the details, the "Load/Unload Cycle Count" is shown as the only problem. The value shown are Current: 1, Worst: 1, Threshold: 18.

1. What is the "Load/Unload Cycle Count"?
2. Is it possible to fix this issue, and how ?

Modern drives have an APM feature set which causes the drive to automatically power down after a predetermined idle timeout. If you wish to stop this behaviour, you would need to disable APM, or increase the timeout period. The best way to do this appears to be via a tool called quietHDD.

The load/unload cycles count is how many times the heads have parked. This stat varies with your drive model and crystal should not be alerting on a count of 1.

what is the model # of the drive in question?
Do you have the latest version of crystal info?

CrystalDiskInfo is alerting the user to the fact that the normalised value (1) of the attribute has dropped below its threshold (18). The raw value of the attribute reports the actual number of load/unload cycles (probably several hundred thousand).

Model # is : hitachi hts725050a9a364
I'm using crystal info 6.1.1
