Hey. I've been using a Dualshock 4 controller with my PC for a long while now, and without problems. But now, it just barely connects. In fact, nothing really wants to connect anymore via Bluetooth. If I want to stay connected to a device, it must literally be on top of the computer case for it to stay, and even then, the connection is extremely poor.

I've attempted to solve it various ways, such as updating the drivers, reinstalling, services.msc troubleshooting, check possible USB 3.0 - Bluetooth issues, and so on and so on. All without luck.

What can a man do to get it to work again?

My PC is a HP ENVY Phoenix 810-201no desktop pc.

Edit: Windows 10, btw.

Did This is the unit you're talking about:

Might I ask if you fiddled around with the innards anytime before this thread was posted? It's quite possible that the antenna's for the wireless module have dislodged or that the wireless adapter itself has lost some of it's potential. Is your wireless internet connectivity hampered by your recent hit in Bluetooth connectivity?

Going by the product's support page, the wireless module looks to be a Broadcom/Atheros unit which in retrospect has been one of the victims hardest hit with Windows 10 showing a lack of recognition towards the device/drivers. [strike]This leads me to ask, are you on Windows 10 or Windows 8.1[/strike]?

You should make sure your motherboard BIOS is up to date and then uninstall your Bluetooth drivers before reinstalling them with either the latest or the last known stable drivers. When installing please make sure you're running them off an elevated command:
Right click installer>Run as Administrator
and see if the issue is alleviated.
