Hi,
About a week or so ago i started to get very high ping in online games to the point where they are unplayable, and download speeds as low as 10kb/s sometimes, never reaching above 500kb/s. I live in a great area for broadband and my before this started happening i was getting very low ping and great download speeds. I thought it would just solve itself but apparently not so i guess ill ask for help now. I would very much appreciate ANY advice since this is getting very frustrating for me. (using an ethernet cable)
Thanks

First thing is to check your own network monitor to see if it's your desktop.
See if your router has a bandwidth monitor. You can see if it's maxed.

Are there a lot of people sharing your connection? Maybe someone else is maxing it. Latency is a sign that either down and/or up is maxed.

Try plugging straight into the modem to get a baseline. Then you can add things back in one-by-one until the problems start happening.

Have tried rebooting several times but no change... I will try talking to my ISP.

I'm sorry but I'm not quite sure what you mean by most of that, I'm mostly in my house alone so i doubt its anyone maxing the connection... how can i check my own network monitor?
