Very slow hdd

I have msi b85m-g43 mobi and 32 gb gskill ram. Sata3port connected internal hdd of 1tb.550w psu with nvidia gtx550ti gpu

Installation is very time consuming on 1tb drive
500gb which is my primary done works absolutely fine
Just that this 1tb since it's not at all near by speed achieved by 500gb done

I am trying to find out if it's psu issue or mobi or hdd issue
The hdd is a new one for 5 days ago and developed bad sectors when I used on my desktop
Wondering what might have caused it

Bad sectors is from a hardware issue. Are you sure the HDD is new?

Run Crystal Disk Info, and post the SMART DATA.

Hi there Proztec,

My suggestion would be to start with just backing up all the stored data on the drive.
After that, as digitaldoc said, you can test it with some HDD testing tools and provide a SMART report: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

If the test results show that there is something wrong with it and given the fact that you got it 5 days ago, then I guess you can just contact the place you got it from and RMA it.
