Very slow transfer speeds, until paused? SSD to flash drive 3.0

Well, basically my problem is that when i try to transfer any data to any usb 3.0 the data transfer rates are extremely slow, 8-12mb/s, but when i pause it, and then resume the transfer it goes all the way up to 100mb/s but then freezes at 99% every time, if i then close the window the data is normally transferred. If i try this on a larger file (4GB) (Previous one was 300mb) it speeds up again and then begins to fall down to it's usual rate. I have tried this with all different files and sizes, updated my drivers, tried different usb sticks but nothing works, im transferring from a Kingston 240GB SSD to a usb 3.0, i've also tried front and back 3.0 slots + and 3.1, all with the same results.

Also i dont know if this helps but here's my specs:
Processor: Intel® Core™i7 Six Core Processor i7-6800K (3.4GHz) 15MB Cache
Motherboard: ASUS® X99-A II: ATX, USB 3.1, SATA 6 GB/s, RGB Ready
RAM: 16GB HyperX FURY DDR4 2133MHz (4 x 4GB)
Graphics Card: 6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1060
Hard Disk: 240GB KINGSTON UV400 2.5" SSD, SATA 6 Gb (550MB/R, 490MB/W)
Running Windows 10 64bit.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Its cause while ssd tfr rate is fast for reads, the write speed of USB sticks isn't the best. The same thing happens if you tfr from ssd to ssd, their read speed and tfr speed overwhelms the write speed of the reciever. Their cache can only hold so much.

I still dont understand why it is so slow though, it should be at least 70-80mb/s right? like other people have that speed, and mine caps at about 12mb/s, there's surely something wrong, considering it's a 3.0 pen drive too

Updated all drivers with ez update tool, still no luck, as i said though it reaches speeds of 100mb/s + when i pause it and replay it but then it stops again and that solution doesn't work. It obviously has the capability to get to the speeds, it just isn't, disk speed on task manager is only like 2% when it's running too, a solution to this would be very useful.

Also just disconnected my my HDD to see if that would make a difference and it did not, it continued to be terribly slow

P.S Windows also detects an error in all flash drives i insert into the pc, i try to repair them and it says it does but the problem still remains the same.

Can you open up event viewer
go to custom views/Admin events

Next put a USB in and then see if you can find an event associated with the error and copy any details you can find into here. Can you show screenshot? (upload to imgur and share link)

I assume the sticks you tried were USB 3 ones and not usb 2 (think most of mine are still USB 2)

My bad, the error was only when i cancelled the transfer and unplugged it, as it crashes if i pause then replay it, as I've described hitting 200+ mb/s when resuming for a few seconds then stopping(crashes explorer also when usb crashes). I have tried one usb 3 and many usb 2. But i don't think it's the write speed of the usb 3 because 10 Mb/s is ridiculously slow (usb 3 is a PC specialist 16GB) Edit: also tried starting in safe mode but didnt help, but now i have an unknown device on device manager but my flash drive is still recognised? also could ai suite 3 be the problem? i have that installed

Is this what you wanted? http://imgur.com/a/cvk4k

that is the friendly view? hate to see the unfriendly view :)

Asus apps can always be a problem, perhaps remove them and see if it helps

If a generic error occurs when your computer pages information to or from the disk, an Event ID 51 event message is logged. In a paging operation, the operating system either swaps a page of memory from memory to disk or retrieves a page of memory from disk to memory. It is part of the memory management of Microsoft Windows.

However, the computer may log this event message when it loads images from a storage device, reads and writes to locally mapped files or to any file (as long as it is buffered I/O). The computer does not log this event message when it performs nonbuffered I/O. You can troubleshoot an Event ID 51 event message exactly like you troubleshoot Event ID 9 or Event ID 11 event messages.

Under certain circumstances, the system logs the following Event ID 51 event message:

In this case, no harmful effects are experienced. For example, Event ID 51 is logged when blank media such as CDR, CDRW, DVDR, and so on, is inserted into a writable drive while a USB device is plugged in. The system logs the event even though the disc is writable, and the USB device is still usable. In these particular cases, you can safely ignore the log entries, and no additional action is required.

Sorry to be an idiot here but none of that ID 51 thing made sense at all, not to me anyways, also i tried the other pages and tried there solution too but with no avail. Un-installed all asus apps, no help. I also tried teracopy but that was slower
I'm guessing your really running out of idea's here now :/, just to make sure does my device manager look normal to you?
Think i've opened all the important ones without the system devices because it was too long. I really have no idea now

I really appreciate all the help! Truly i do!

Edit: if im being a massive idiot here, my apologies

I've now done a benchmark test on my ssd and my usb 3.0 and both could transfer speeds well over 100mb/s. also my transfer speeds actually fixed itself for a few days and then it went bad again. Also done a health check on both drives and all was good.
