Recently I have noticed a very slow load up of windows 7 (from the login screen to desktop). The welcome screen is displayed for about 60 seconds, then there is a black screen (although the cursor is visible and responsive whit a blue wheel) for about 80 seconds. In the event viewer there are 7 error messages for WUSA in the setup log.

btw my CPU is amd fx-8350, GPU HD7950, 8gb memory and 1tb HDD

thanks in advance :)

Solution
Hi neutrino,
I'm looking for a solution of this problem for a friend and I think I've something interesting.
When Windows 7 do too many restore points, there is a bug that make boot extremely slow.

Thanks I'll try that out. And I'm using avast alongside zonealarm.

And startup wise not too many just stuff like skype bittorent etc. And amd catalyst.

delete avast and zone alarm, you dont need 2 antivirus applications running at once as it will cause system slowdowns and instability, avast itself is also a system hog and can cause random problems and poor performance.

install comodo internet security free or avg as good alternatives.
