I recently upgraded to a Ryzen 3 2200g to go along with my gtx 1050, but going in Battlefield V I haven't seen any improvement. My CPU is running at 100% while my GPU is at about 30-40% in-game. I'm running at the lowest settings while getting 30 FPS. Meanwhile, in this video here with the same components they have both of their GPU and CPU at 100% with way better framerate than I at a higher quality. In fact, I have more, faster memory than their build. My temps are great as well, so I have no idea why this could be happening. I have not updated BIOS but I don't think that would be an issue.

GTX 1050
16GB DDR4 2666 mhz ram

Well, I had similar issues to you too. I had an i5 8400 and an rtx 2060, and was getting horrible frame rates. 60-80, with regular dips into 40s. Now, for a really long time I thought my rig was broken. But, the big key was ram. Bought a kit of dual channel 3000 mhz ram and it ran buttery smooth, 100+ fps at all times at ultra.
Now, is your ram dual channel? That is a big help to performance. Also, try boosting your settings up. See if med/high are better fps or worse. Low settings bottle neck the cpu. See if that helps.

med/high settings had no change in FPS, but better quality is better quality. I've decided to overclock my CPU and I should get way better FPS. Thanks!
