asus p6t
i7 920 oc'd to 3.0ghz

i've had my i7 920 at 3.0ghz running stable and very cool for a while now and today i noticed a strange occurrence

i was running prime 95 and watching my temps via real temp and out of no where it started report my clock speed as 3.6 ghz
i thought it might be realteamps fault so i opened up cpuz and i got the same thing 20x 180mhz (its normally 20 x 150mhz)

as a last resort i opened dxdiag and i got the same thing

i thought it might be turbo (even though i know i turned it off) so i checked that and it was already off

i turned my computer back on and it didn't happen anymore, another strange thing is that when it was supposedly running at 3.6ghz my temps did not change from my average 3.0ghz under 100% load

any idea whats wrong?

Hi, This happens sometimes. I am not exactly sure why but it has to do something with the multiplier. I had a chip that was running @ 300 x 12, but all the programs showed it as running at 300 x 12.5
