If that is the case, i had one from LG that was pretty decent. Don't remember that exact model though.

Looks all right to me. There is a button to open it in front, on the tray itself. There is also a small pin hole there so you can open it manually with a paperclip or something similar.

He needs one that can be mounted internally in a case it seems, dont think it is a way to do that with that one?

no. but external is much better. you can then use it on any pc
