I have a pc http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YWrRwP its about 4-6 months old..

lately the startup has been slow.. about 5minutes

i was checing my msconfig, and i found all these random services... if you have the time, im respectfully requesting a full list, of the things i can delete off the services.. I mainly use my pc for games like bf4,h1z1,League of legends.. and of course i use my browser google chrome..

I have a secondary monitor that i barely use now, i had to download intel hd graphics for it to work ( it this helps )

also is there any other way i can boot my system faster?

and yes i did cleared out my startups to the ones i really need, about 3 progams anti-virus, YAC and logitech mouse..

The first thing I'd do would be to reset the BIOS to default settings, then update the BIOS. There may be a hardware related issue. Check the button on your GPU to see if it's lit or unlit, indicating UEFI mode or legacy. It may be necessary for the GPU to be in legacy mode depending on how Windows 7 was installed as UEFI is not the default method of installation for windows 7.

I had a similar issue, but opposite, with an R9 280 that accidentally had the UEFI button pushed and the BIOS was not configured for compatibility and caused a very long boot time on that build since the UEFI feature had been turned off on the GPU.

In Task Manager, how is your memory allocated?

Can you use the Utilities that came with your mobo to post the readings for 12v, 5v and 3.3v?

Im a noob at techy stuff, can you explain in a simple sentence lol, what i dont get is gpu lit or unlit? i never knew i had a button for gpu, when i was building it.. also i dont recall any bios tweaking.. i just left it as normal.. And what is this legacy mode?

as i stated, im very noob at this.. what do you mean by allocated.. also i dont think i have any utilities for my mobo.. and hwat are 12v 5v and 3.3v?

man the pc shop around me always tries to high ball...... so what should i check in my bios? and i heard updating bios can mess up your pc...

Your quickest fix would probably be to reinstall your OS and refresh the system if you haven't done that in a while. It should clean up your registry and force you to reinstall only apps and services that you really require. I try to do mine around every 6 months or so. You might be surprised at how much quicker it gets afterwards.

It sounds like something does not agree with your OS on startup.

You would be best to update your motherboard BIOS too. It is very rare that anything can go wrong in doing this. Unless you have a power cut or something during.

Go to control panel and open device manager. See if there are any items "remarked" with a symbol next to them. If there are, right click on them and select "Update drivers".

Go to the motherboard manufacturers website and find the page for your motherboard model and revision. Look through the driver downloads to see if there are any drivers newer than about two months before you purchased your hardware. If so, it's probably a good idea to install them.

The BIOS update procedure and image file should also be available from there.

If any of those suggestions were not understood, I really doubt performing a clean install is going to be any easier to perform or that they will understand the process involved.

lol i havent defrag my pc since i got it haha... gna try it tonight hope it fixes.. thanks
