Question vg27bq goes to 120hz with graphic glitch

I sometimes notice that my monitor goes to 120hz and i cant get it higher than that
which then also causes some small graphic glitches
if i reboot PC its back to 144hz as usual without any graphical glitches.
How do i fix this?

(Also this monitor should go up to 165hz but i donot have this choice in option)

Make and model of the GPU you're working with? What driver version are you on for your GPU? What OS version are you on for Windows 10(assuming that you're on Windows 10)?

gtx 1070 Ti. latest nvidia driver (tried to update.) windows 10
on my 1080p monitor i do not have this problem.
btw i figured out howto get 165hz. i did an overclock on the monitor option
Please if anyone knows how to fix this problem let me know (that monitor hz goes to 120 and also causes small graphic glitches.)
hopefully it is fixed, however.
