VGA Cable keeps getting disconnected when I have the case side cover on.

Okay, I built this PC a couple of months ago and I've been having problems with the GPU ever since. The monitor output wouldn't work when I have the case on, or it would freeze in the boot logo. I discovered that if I repeatedly pushed the VGA cable into the GPU, the PC would work normally as long as I have the case off (I'm guessing it's because it tampers with the wire?).

Specs:
CPU: i7-7700K
GPU: Gainward GTX 1080 (Founders' Edition)
RAM: 16 GB DDR4
Power Supply: 750w

The case is SPEC-02, FYI.

Any help would be appreciated.

My thinking ofo this goes in two different directions. First off I wonder if the GPU card is fully seated and the retaining clip at the rear of the card is engaged. If the case is bent at all it could be pulling the rear the card up slightly. You do have the card screwed in right? My other thought is you have a wonky cable. Are you using an HDMI or a DVI? HDMI are very convenient, but I like a DVI because it actually screws in.
