I dont know if this is the right Forum for this post, but here goes...

Just built my first kick-ass gaming cpu and now I am looking to place all my Consols (PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox) in my CPU cabinet. I have a HD monitor and the HD pack for my Xbox and this one is my favorite, so I want to use component video for this one. I have my PS2 on S-video, and my Gamecube on S-video. I was looking for the best way for my systems to be hooked up to my monitor and the only solution I can think of is to get a system selecter with all the hook-ups I need for the consoles, then have the output from the system selecter go thru the VGA converter.

Has anyone tried this? Does this sound like it would work? Is it worth it? I need suggestions on the type of system selector and VGA converter I need.

Was thinking for the system selector:

For the VGA Converter:

*I am not promoting this seller or his/her product, but I couldn't find a better link or product.

Any info anyone can provide would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I'm sure I have read about other people on this site that have done it. Search some of the forums.

It looks like the converter from eBay will work.

Also, this would work plus it has a TV Tuner! You can record TV and record your game action.<A HREF="http://www.aver.com/products/tvtuner_AVerTV_box5.shtml" target="_new">http://www.aver.com/products/tvtuner_AVerTV_box5.shtml</A>
There is a more expensive version.<A HREF="http://www.aver.com/products/tvtuner_AVerTV_box9.shtml" target="_new">http://www.aver.com/products/tvtuner_AVerTV_box9.shtml</A>

I think you dont even have to turn on the PC to use it.

Check out the newegg page for Aver products.<A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/searchProductResult.asp?Submit=Go&Range=1&DEPA=0&bop=and&description=avermedia&InnerManu=1409" target="_new">http://www.newegg.com/app/searchProductResult.asp?Submit=Go&Range=1&DEPA=0&bop=and&description=avermedia&InnerManu=1409</A>

I have bought Aver products before and they are high quality.

I wouldn't buy some no name product off eBay.

I had a super nintendo rigged up to my monitor through a tv tuner in my computer and it worked really good. I'm sure you could use the same setup for any console. Most tv tuner cards have rca and svideo inputs. You just switch to that input in the tv software and on comes your console. Just hook that av switch upto the tv tuner inputs.

When you are bored with the console game you can switch over to regular tv. Surf the toms forums while watchin tv in the corner of your screen, its always fun :)

Now that I have read through your posts I feel like a total newbie. I have the ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 pro that has TV tuner capabilities. Didn't know I could use that for my consoles  . So, basically all I really need to do is get a component video selector to play all my consols through my video card right?? Thanks for the help, I dont know what kind of mistakes I would have made without consulting you guys/gals first.
