Question Vga debug light on and no display

I jus built my first pc
Spec
R3 1200
Msi B450m gaming plus
2x4gb ram
Ssd
Gigabyte rx 460 super oc x8
And i put all the components together and everything spins the case fan the cpu fan and the gpu you fan but 5 seconds later the vga debug light turns on and no post all i see is a under score in the middle of the screen then i tried another card a rx 470 which takes pcie power and the same result the gams spin but no post. Please help me and thank you for reading

What is make and model of PSU?

Have you tried reseating the graphic card?

i have done that multiple times all my components are new also
and a evga 80+ bronze psu

The Gigabyte RX 460 super oc x8 doesn't need a PCIE power connector, right?

Having tested with another card and getting the same result the board might need a BIOS update.

Not sure if you can do that easily without a display output.

Edit: Anyway do not attemp a BIOS update if you're not familiar with the process as if the update process goes wrong you might end up bricking your board.

Wat other usb peripherals/drives do you have plugged into the usb ports?

Like i said all the parts are new so i haven't over clocked anything and nothing was in the usb ports

rx 460 doe not need pcie power and i did accidentally press the bios flash back button would that of effected it?

Is your bios on the latest version? It should be 7B87v16

I got it to post by clearing the cmos and unplugging my mouse and keyboard and it boots to the bios

Are the mouse and keyboard PS/2 or USB?

If USB, were the mouse and keyboard plugged into the motherboard I/O panel on the back or to front case USB connectors?

If so the front case USB connector/ports might have a short.
