VGA IRG?

I am new to the idea of using the VGA slot on my MB. Does replacing a video PCI-card with a VGA card free up any IRQ's? From what I read about the interaction between the CPU and the VG Port it seems it might free up an IRG--which I could use!!

i think you mean the agp slot, and no you will not gain an irg because the agp slot ,when it has a card in it requires a irg.

Yes, you are correct. I did mean the AGP slot. I thought that since it is so interconnected with the PCU it may not need a separate IRG.
