VGA LED appears on MoBo

Hi,

So when I start my computer from a powered down state, the VGA LED comes on, and my system won't Post. However if I hit the restart button, it boots up fine. Any idea what could be causing this?

Specs:
-Asus Z97a mobo
-4690k stock speed (atm)
-GTX970
-EVGA G2 750w PSU
-8gb DDR Ram

One final note that might be relevant is I recently diagnosed one of my sticks of ram (2x8gb) as being faulty so I took it out for now. I still get the VGA light on start up.

Hi, Try testing different power supply, if possible. Try also clearing the CMOS (unplug the power cord and remove the CMOS battery for a minute).
