VGA Monitor to dedi. gpu VGA port?

I have one monitor and when I try to connect it to my dedicated graphics card, the screen does not turn on. However, when I place it on my integrated graphics card, it does turn on. I want to use the monitor with the dedicated graphics card, so how would I go along doing that?

EDIT: In case anyone is wondering:
Dedicated gpu: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 750 Ti 1GB
Integrated gpu: Geforce 6150se (yes, my pc is old)

It's usually one or the other, IGPU or Dedicated card. You should look in the BIOS and make sure that IGPU is either disabled or failing to have that, that PCIe is set to be default display device.
