VGA monitor to HDMI port on computer

You would want HDMI to VGA, not VGA to HDMI. Think of the way you want to convert.

And what MB, most have DVI at least, which is a lot easier to convert to VGA.

My MB is a MSi 970 Gaming, GPU is a MSI R9 380. I already have the DVI-I port used by one VGA monitor with the MSi supplied VGA to DVI-I adapter, but they supplied no VGA to DVI-D or HDMI ones. Should the adapter that I linked work for my GPU?
