Hello there, i'm about to buy a new PC and i want the RTX 2060, the problem is that I have an old smasung monitor and since i'm using all my budget on a new computer i can't really afford a new monitor.

I was thinking about getting a VGA to HDMI adapter but from what i read it has tons of problems and i am affraid of losing audio or affecting GPU's performance.

One more thing... I see a lot of people having problems because they are stuck at 60Hz. Some people even say that RTX 2060 doesn't support more than 60Hz is that true??

Having to use an active adapter will add a bit of input lag to the display(you may notice it you may not). You shouldn't have audio issues unless you try and use the audio on the HDMI port. Both of these may differ based on the adapter you chose.

The RTX 2060 supports a refresh rate of upto 240Hz.

Thanks for the quick answer!
So you're basically saying if i connect my headphones to the motherboard normally i will have my audio, monitor and GPU working just fine? (despite some input lag ofc)

Thanks for the quick answer, my monitor is the samsung s22b150 and you can see my build on the following link: https://imgur.com/a/paZL8Q5

Some words are in portuguese but i guess you can understand it pretty easily.

My budget is 1050 euros, there's no way i can get over it.

If the headphones are connected to the motherboard the vga adapter shouldn't affect the audio. Just make sure the adapter you buy supports the resolution you want to run. Looks like your monitor is 1080p(1920x1080) which all of them I've seen supported.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm probably going to buy the gembird.
