VGA no signal

Hello, I have Asus vw221D monitor and now i bought the radeon r9 270x but when I plug in the VGA to DVI converter on cable and run PC I get a message VGA no signal. Have 3 different vga to DVI adapters and none seems to work also my monitor have only vga input on it but it's LCD 21.5" and most people told me that I only need the adapter to make it work.

Just to note on old graphic card, vga input works, dvi input with adapter is not working same as on new graphic card but the new one has no vga input.

So I need some advice since I'm so desperate atm.

What specific R9 270X do you have? If you are connecting to a DVI-D port on the GPU, it won't work with the VGA adapter. DVI-D is digital only. You need to connect to a DVI-I port that carries both digital and analog signals.

I have r9 270x powercolor pcs 2gb ddr5 and It has 2 dvi different inputs.

You should use the DVI port under the HDMI port. Looks like a little cross on one end of it. That is the DVI-I port.

At store they told me that my monitor doesn't support dvi input and that i need to reinstall the amd drivers on another monitor which support dvi and after that i can use dvi.

They told you wrong. That is simply not true.

The DVI-I port always carries both the digital and analog signals.

So then why it's not working? I get only vga no signal?

The issue must be the video card then. Do you have the PCIe external power connected to the video card from the power supply? Also, what make/model of power supply are you using?

Yes I have 500w, and my current old gpu is amd hd 6450 and if i connect it to dvi it's not working only on vga works.

What make/model of power supply? Not all 500w labeled power supplies actually provide 500w of power.
