I'm trying to build a new computer. Everything seems to be connected right. But when I plug it in, I hear first one short beep (probably meaning that BIOS is loaded) and after few seconds one long and three short beeps which according to the manual means that VGA is not detected. Tried another cable and another monitor. How can I narrow this problem?
The motherboard is ASUS A320, the monitor is connected via VGA cable (but tried HDMI as well).
Thanks in advance.

Solution

Oh no it isn't (pantomime season - lol).

X4 doesn't have a graphics processor, hence your problem.

You need to install a graphics card.

May sound silly, but if you have a dedicated graphics card make sure it's plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard.

I have an AMD ATHLON X4. It is an APU.

Athlon x4 950?

On the box it says it is.

"AMD Athlon Processing Unit
