VGA or HDMI out not working on my laptop

I have a Toshiba Satellite P845T laptop (Intel HD Graphics 4000) with no lcd screen but I need video. When I connect either the VGA or HDMI neither work on a monitor or tv. I know for a fact it is not the motherboard for it was brand new.

You probably need to enable dual monitors to activate the laptop's video outputs. If you're running Windows 10 and can get the laptop booted up, try pressing the Windows key and the "P" key simultaneously. Then click the down arrow key once and hit return. See if that changes anything.

Ok the laptop had no hard drive so I installed windows then restarted it with the Ethernet plugged in and left it on all day then restarted it and now it works, just had to have graphics drivers installed
