Hey all.

So I'm trying to set up a second monitor but the problem is that the VGA port from the motherboard has no signal when I plug it in, I'm currently using DVI-I for my primary monitor. I know a separately installed graphics card will turn off motherboard's integrated graphics but I used to be able to run it with no problems, before I moved overseas. (Also tried using an adapter for VGA to HDMI, switching cords between 2 monitors, going into BIOS to enable VGA monitor)

I7-3770 3.40GHz
8G RAM 64bit
GTX 660
Primary Monitor- ASUS VH222 Second - BENQ g2000wa
BIOS ver.0906

I need more solutions before going to the conclusion of switching a new motherboard or another graphics card.

Thank you.

Yes the Male-DVI-D female via adapter. That will work. That part is made specifically for what you want to do with it. Why else would that part be made? The people telling you otherwise are wrong. Graphic cards sometimes ship with these adapters, for people who have VGA only monitors.
