My VGA port on my pc is not working, the cable and monitor I am using both work fine as I use them on other computers. Im trying to set up dual monitors as I already have one monitor plugged in via the DVI port with a DVI to VGA adapter as it has never worked. When i plug in the VGA to the monitor my pc doesnt even recognise that its there, is there some way I have to enable the port or is it not connected properly inside?

When I start it up and its connected via VGA nothing happens on the monitors at all. How do I go into the BIOS?

Does any other cable work? You need to get into the BIOS by either hitting F8 or DEL.

The only cable that seems to work is my DVI one which i have to use a DVI to VGA as I didnt have a DVI cable. The HDMI and VGA dont work either. The computer was custom built and there are a lot of sockets on it that dont work or do much, and I dont really know much about the insides of them. To get in the BIOS to you hit F8 when the computers starting up?

I didn't know GPU still offered VGA ports.

You said your computer was custom-built, you may need to reset the BIOS settings by removing the battery.

Just making sure the MOBO ports are not being used if he has a GPU.

The VGA port is going into the motherboard and the DVI that works is going into the GPU. Should the VGA be going into the GPU aswell then?

if by GPU you mean graphics card, my graphics card is a AMD Radeon R7 200
I dont know much about computer hardware and couldnt find the details at the moment so forgive me if im wrong
