Nvidia removed the hardware that could allow analog signal (VGA) on the 1070/1080/1080Ti, so drivers won't help.
They are digital only, so VGA won't work in any interaction (DVI, HDMI or DP) like previous GPUs.

An active adapter can still convert DP to VGA, jojesa?
Yes, but a lot of them aren't that good.
I tried the Club3D DP to VGA Active Adapter (CAC-1003) on a GTX 1070 and it worked but only to 1920x1080p resolution.
It still *can* be done. As for a 1080p limitation, I don't see that being an issue for any user? If you're looking to push >1080p, your display will support one of the digital signal implementations available natively on a 1080TI
I should have added the adapter part to my post but what I stated was a fact.
The OP asked for "a driver version to allow this" and changing drivers wouldn't help.
