Hello guys... i bought today vga to dvi-a adapter in the store today, thats the only adapter they had
I connected it to my tv in vga port, then connected dvi cable to it from my gpu
The problem is, there is no signal to the tv... but pc booted up, everything works but there is no video output on my tv ?

... i know that everything works because when i connect gpu to my smaller monitor everything works just fine
I think the problem is vga to dvi adapter
It says on the package that its DVI-A type of adapter... what does that mean?
Do i need different type of adapter then?

Solution
My gpu is zotac gtx 560 ti OC 1gb, it has two dvi inputs and one mini hdmi
Dvi adapter:
You're using wrong DVI cable (DVI-D single link). It has no wiring for analog signal.
You need DVI-A or DVI-I cable instead.

Cable ends should look like this:

What is make/model name of your gpu?

Can you show a photo of video outputs on your gpu?
Also show a photo of connectors on your dvi-a to VGA adapter and DVI cable.
May also show photo of video input on your tv.
