Hello. I'm using AMD Radeon HD 6450 and I wanted a dual-monitor set up. Both of my monitors are VGA and i bought VGA to DVI adapter. My graphics card as DVI-D i think and the adapter which i got is DVI-I I believe. I can't physically insert the adapter into my graphics card. The adapter has that one horizontal pin doesn't have 4 additional ones around if since i got even that adapter in my possession. Am i missing out something, did i get the wrong adapters or is my GPU DVI broken?

Not if you are trying to get two VGA monitors running from a card that only outputs one analogue signal.
The passive DVI-to-VGA adapter is supposed to just pull the VGA signal out of a DVI-I socket. The socket you pictured doesn't have those analog wires, so the passive adapter will not work. There are DVI-D to VGA converters, but I have no idea how well they work. Anybody use one?
